The spiritual retreat of the Order of Malta’s professed knights was held in Sacrofano just outside Rome from 4th to 9th November. Thirty-four religious of different nationalities attended.

The purpose of the initiative, promoted by Grand Master Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, was to strengthen the spiritual life of the Order’s religious by offering a chance to experience communal life.

The spirituality week was organised by the Order of Malta’s prelate, Msgr. Jean Laffitte, whereas the ‘Paradigms of Lay Christian Sanctity’ theme was discussed by the Head Chaplain of the Grand Priory of Rome, Msgr. Mons. Guido Mazzotta.
