Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati had talks at the Magistral Palace with the Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta, Riccardo Paternò. After the meeting, the Prime Minister was received by the Lieutenant of the Grand Master.

These were some of the topics discussed during the meeting between the over fifty Deputy Chiefs of Mission of the embassies accredited to the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Order’s representatives.


Malteser International providing aid after major fire in world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh

On Sunday 5 March a fire broke out in Bangladesh in the world’s largest refugee camp, near the city of Cox’ Bazar. Around 2,000 shelters have been destroyed and nearly 12,000 people lost their home.

Order of Malta inaugurates a house for displaced persons in Sambir, Ukraine

Malteser Ukraine - the Order of Malta’s Relief Corps in Ukraine - has inaugurated a house for displaced persons in Sambir, near Lviv. The structure, a former clinic, covers almost 800 square metres, has three floors and can accommodate some 100 people.

War in Ukraine: The Order of Malta expands its support programmes

Since the beginning of the war one year ago, international and national entities and partners of the Order of Malta have distributed half-a-million hot meals to IDPs, provided 19,000 beds in shelters, as well as generators, trained 13,000 people in first aid, and transferred 16 ambulances.
