Interviews with Vatican Radio and Rome Reports TV

One late afternoon at the end of summer some hundred students filled the auditorium of the American University of Rome. They had come to hear a very special speaker: the Grand Master of the Order of Malta Fra’ Matthew Festing. The lecture, organized by the University’s International Relations Department, was entitled “The Knights of Malta in the 21st Century”. The Grand Master illustrated the characteristics which make the Order of Malta an institution unique in the world. Taking examples from five continents, he gave a detailed description of the medical, welfare and emergency activities the Order carries out in numerous countries.
