Paris: Grand Master visits home for the elderly where robots to alleviate anxiety and pain are tested

During his time in Paris last week – where he gave a speech at UNESCO and was received by its director – Grand Master Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre visited one of the most avantgarde projects run by Ordre de Malte France. Maison Ferrari is a home for the elderly situated in a large park on the outskirts of the French capital.  It provides a holistic approach with medical treatment as well as psychological assistance and specific activities for the psychophysical wellbeing of residents


Memorandum of understanding signed with Slovak Ministry of Health to strengthen cooperation

A visit of great significance was made last Friday by the Grand Hospitaller of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Bratislava, where Dominique de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel first signed a memorandum of understanding with Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic, Andrea Kalavská and then inaugurated the Malteser Aid Slovakia new headquarters.


Bakhita centre for female victims of trafficking inaugurated in Lagos

Inaugurated in Lagos on 26 March, the "Bakhita Empowerment” centre is an initiative of the Order of Malta with the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Louis for protecting and rehabilitating young women victims of prostitution and human trafficking when they return to Nigeria.
