Republic of China (Taiwan) supports Order of Malta’s social project

The Republic of China (Taiwan) has donated a generous contribution of 20,000 euro for a social project managed by the Spanish Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta. This project provides for vocational training and work placement programmes for people in financial difficulties, in cooperation with the Spanish government authorities.

The project is included in a broad range of interventions for the most vulnerable. For example, the Order of Malta’s Spanish Association runs various soup kitchens and activities nationwide to assist the neediest people.

The contribution made by the Republic of China (Taiwan) will allow more people in need to be included in the social assistance project, in the wake of the Order of Malta’s millennial tradition.

The Grand Master of the Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, and the Grand Chancellor, Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo were present at the donation ceremony this morning at the Magistral Palace.
