Order’s archives in Malta nominated for Memory of the World List of UNESCO

With over 7,000 documents dating back to the early 12th century, the archives of the Sovereign Order of Malta at the Bibliotheca of Malta, in Valletta,  have been nominated for the Memory of the World List of UNESCO

Last Respects Paid to Fra’ Roggero Caccia Dominioni

In the church of St. Peter and Paul in Lomagna, province of Lecco, the funeral took place today of Ven. Bailiff Fra' Roggero Caccia Dominioni, Grand Prior emeritus, who passed last Monday aged 100.


Vaccinations in St Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna

To counter the new wave of Covid infections, the Austrian government imposed a total lockdown on 22 November. At the same time the demand for vaccination increased exponentially. On the initiative of Cardinal Christoph Schönborn - Metropolitan Archbishop of Vienna and Bailiff Grand Cross of Honour and Devotion of the Order of Malta - a Covid-19 vaccination centre was set up in St Stephen’s cathedral in Vienna.


Ceremony hands back Magistral Conservatory to Order of Malta

The Magistral Conservatory - which contains the Archives and the Library - was inaugurated on 7 December after an almost two-year renovation of its spaces, facilities and infrastructure.


Mass in memory of Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre, 80th Grand Master

The Grand Magistry wished to remember the late Grand Master, Fra' Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, on what would have been his 77th birthday with a Mass celebrated in the chapel of the Magistral Palace in Rome.


Order of Malta’s mission to the UN in New York announces opening of diplomatic ties with the Kingdom of Lesotho

Today the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations in New York, Paul Beresford–Hill, exchanged notes with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Lesotho to the United Nations, Nkopane Monyane, to open diplomatic relations with the African country.
