The Lieutenant of the Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, received Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies today at the Magistral Palace. During the meeting, Prince Carlo of Bourbon conferred on the Lieutenant of the Grand Master the insignia of Bailiff Knight Grand Cross of Justice decorated with the Collar of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.

Conferred in virtue of the ancient bonds of friendship that unite the Order of Malta to the Royal House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, the Lieutenant of the Grand Master stated that he was “deeply proud to have belonged to the Constantinian Order of St. George for more than 25 years and honoured to receive today the highest Constantinian honour, I am certain that the already excellent relations between our two Orders will be further enriched in the future in the sign of our common ideals.”

The ceremony was attended by the Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta, Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo, and several members of the Sovereign Council.
