Two days of workshops, presentations, panels and debates. More than 60 participants representing some 30 countries in which the Order of Malta’s Grand Priories, associations or relief and volunteer corps operate. Not only many Europeans but also delegates from Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, the United States and Mexico.  These are the numbers of the latest “Communications Forum” organized by the Grand Magistry, reuniting the communication managers of numerous Order of Malta entities in the Magistral Villa in Rome on 23, 24 and 25 September.

The central theme during the two days was the strengthening of the Order of Malta’s message and image, as well as the cooperation between the different bodies, in the light of the numerous crises in the world, starting with the war in Ukraine.

The meeting, postponed since 2020 because of the pandemic, was an opportunity to present the Grand Magistry’s latest projects, such as the new Intranet and the training centre. But it also gave the opportunity to reflect on the best practices adopted by the various communication departments in these months marked by multiple humanitarian crises – from Covid to the war – and to improve the synergies of an institution present in 120 countries worldwide with all their different problems and needs.

The meeting also offered the chance to participate in targeted workshops to learn new techniques such as videomaking, managing social profiles or developing a strategic communication plan.

The meeting was also attended by Grand Chancellor Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo, who thanked the participants for their commitment in promoting the Order of Malta’s projects. In his speech, the Grand Chancellor also invited those present to continue along the path of cooperation and uniformity in communicating the Order’s mission.
