To mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Republic of Poland, a photographic exhibition presenting the history and activities of the Order in Poland and internationally is being held at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (the lower house of parliament) from 13 to 20 October 2025.

The exhibition, curated by the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Poland and the Polish Association of Knights of Malta, was officially opened on 15 October by the Marshal of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia. The event was attended by ambassadors from 34 countries accredited in Poland, members of Parliament and representatives of the Polish Government.

In his remarks, Marshal Hołownia praised the Order of Malta’s unwavering commitment to assisting those in need and emphasised the importance of international cooperation in addressing future challenges.

Ambassador Niels Carl Alexander Lorijn highlighted the growing and effective cooperation over the years between the Order and Polish governments on humanitarian and capacity building projects in Moldova, Ukraine, and more recently Lebanon.

The President of the Polish Association of Knights of Malta, Jacek Tarnowski, highlighted the many medical and social initiatives promoted by the Order in Poland.
