Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Grand Chancellor and Foreign Minister of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Jean-Pierre Mazery have heaped praise on the development of bilateral relations.

In a congratulatory message on Sunday, Lavrov lauded the two countries expanding bilateral cooperation, including in the environmental protection sector, something that was echoed by Jean-Pierre Mazery.

October 21 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Sovereign Order of Malta.
