Exploring possibilities for cooperation in humanitarian projects in third countries. This is the focus of the meeting taking place this morning between the Order of Malta’s Grand Chancellor, Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo and Badr Jafar, the United Arab Emirates Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy for the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The visit, also attended by the Grand Hospitaller Joseph D. Blotz, constitutes a significant step towards intensifying relations between the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the United Arab Emirates. Opportunities were discussed for partnerships in the humanitarian aid and sustainable development sectors, to coordinate more effectively support for the most vulnerable communities. Badr Jafar expressed his great appreciation for the Order of Malta’s humanitarian activities worldwide, hoping they could work together to identify joint projects.
